Progressive Recovery: Home
Mission Statement
Hope and hard work

Providing post therapy service to help people achieve greater mobility through continuous interrogation of our techniques based on response & adaptation of the neuro muscular system. Our approach ensures every person affected by physical limitations is given the opportunity to maintain the highest quality of life.

There is real hope & help for stroke survivors even long after the initial insult. Medical authority once accepted that if a person didn't recover spontaneously within a year from stroke-related injuries they wouldn't get better.  Now, 20 years worth of documented evidence proves that 90% of survivors can improve, regardless of when injury occurred.

A great deal of the proof comes from Tom Wisenbaker, the nation’s only "Special Needs Strength Trainer".  He has lead the charge to help "stroke & brain injury survivors" overcome their paralysis months or years after the trauma occurred.  His pioneering Adaptive Exercise Technique, is now recognized for its effectiveness, click here to read the article in Stroke Connection Magazine.

The common sense, integrated approach of controlled diet, targeted exercise and keen personal attention helps sufferers feel better and improve mobility regardless of when the stroke occurred. Many times the changes are drastic (find more detailed information on the Should Know page). In other cases, people regain significant movement and independence.  At the very least patients gain enough strength and flexibility to make it easier for their caregivers to help them.
